3.2 The Operator reserves the right to amend, update, or revise these Terms at any time, subject to any applicable regulatory approvals. We will notify Customers of significant changes.
3.3 Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes active acceptance of the revised Terms.
3.4 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
3.5 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
3.6 These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Responsible Gambling Policy and any applicable Promotional Terms, each of which is published on the Platform.
04AUTHORISATION TO ACCESS AND USE OUR BETTING SERVICES
4.1 Access is restricted strictly to verified Customers who are at least 18 years of age.
4.2 Customers must be physically located within an authorised Australian state or territory when placing Wagers.
4.3 No Customer may use our services if they have active self-exclusions registered on BetStop or with MARAN BET directly.
4.4 You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
4.5 Only one Account is permitted per person, household, family, email address, or payment method. Duplicate Accounts will be closed immediately.
4.6 The Operator reserves the absolute right to refuse any application for an Account or close an existing Account without stating a reason.
05ACCOUNT VERIFICATION
5.1 In accordance with Australian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) legislation, all Customer Accounts must be verified within mandated regulatory timeframes. Identity verification is required prior to any Withdrawals being approved.
5.2 Verification may require the provision of valid government-issued photographic ID (such as a driver's licence or passport), proof of residential address (utility bill or bank statement), and confirmation of payment ownership.
5.3 We utilise secure, third-party electronic identity verification systems to confirm Customer information instantly where possible.
5.4 Failure to satisfy identity verification protocols within mandated timelines will result in Account suspension and eventual closure.
5.5 We reserve the right to request certified paper documentation or source of funds information at our absolute discretion.
06ACCOUNT DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS
6.1 Deposits may only be made using payment methods explicitly approved on our Platform. These must be registered in the name of the Account Holder.
6.2 Credit cards are not accepted for Deposits or betting in Australia. Only debit cards and electronic direct-transfer mechanisms are permitted.
6.3 Limits apply on minimum and maximum Deposit amounts per transaction and per day, as detailed in our Help Centre.
6.4 Withdrawals are only processed back to verified payment methods in the name of the verified Account Holder.
6.5 Withdrawal processing times depend on the selected payment method and bank clearing timelines. We do not charge Withdrawal fees.
6.6 We reserve the right to withhold any Withdrawal pending complete validation of all wagering activity and payment sources.
6.7 Customers are encouraged to set voluntary deposit limits at any time to manage their wagering safely.
07ACCOUNT FUNDS
7.1 Funds held in your Account are held for the purpose of wagering with MARAN BET. Your Account is not a bank account, does not earn interest and must not be used as a savings or investment facility.
7.2 Available Balance. You may request a Withdrawal of your Available Balance at any time, subject to verification and to clause 6. Funds committed to unsettled Wagers or pending Withdrawals do not form part of the Available Balance until those Wagers are settled or the Withdrawal is cancelled.
7.3 Erroneous credits. Where funds are credited to your Account in error - including a duplicate Deposit, an incorrect Settlement or a technical fault - those funds remain the property of the Operator. We may reverse the credit and adjust your balance accordingly. You must not wager, withdraw or otherwise deal with funds credited in error, and any Wager placed with such funds may be declared void.
7.4 Chargebacks and reversed payments. If a Deposit is charged back, reversed, recalled or otherwise not honoured by your financial institution, the amount of that Deposit is immediately deducted from your Account. We may suspend the Account, declare void any Wagers placed with the reversed funds and recover any resulting shortfall, including reasonable costs incurred in doing so.
7.5 Negative balances. Your Account must not have a negative balance. If a negative balance arises for any reason, including a reversed payment or a corrected Settlement, you must repay the amount owed on request. We may set off any amount owed against subsequent Deposits, winnings or other credits to your Account.
7.6 Account closure. When an Account is closed by you or by us, any unsettled Wagers remain valid and are settled in the ordinary course. Once all Wagers are settled, any remaining Available Balance is returned to a verified payment method in your name, less any amounts lawfully withheld under these Terms, applicable law or a direction of the Regulatory Authority or a law enforcement agency.
7.7 Refunds after closure. Refunds following closure are processed within a reasonable period after verification of your identity and payment method. Where a payment method is no longer available, we will contact you to arrange an alternative verified method.
08BET PLACEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE
8.1 How a Wager is placed. A Wager is placed by selecting one or more outcomes, entering a stake in the Bet Cart, reviewing the selection, stake and potential return, and choosing "Place Bet". The Customer is solely responsible for checking the selection, stake, bet type and odds before submitting a Wager.
8.2 When a Wager is accepted. A Wager is accepted only when it has been received, validated and recorded in our systems and a confirmation with a unique bet reference appears in your Account activity. Until that point no contract exists in respect of the Wager. The display of odds, markets or a "pending" status does not by itself constitute acceptance.
8.3 Confirmation. The record of the Wager held in our systems is conclusive evidence of the terms on which the Wager was accepted. If you believe a confirmation is incorrect you must contact Customer Support immediately.
8.4 No amendment or cancellation. Once a Wager has been accepted it cannot be changed or cancelled by the Customer, except where expressly permitted by these Terms, the applicable settlement rules or applicable law.
8.5 Changes to odds before acceptance. Odds, prices and markets are dynamic and may change at any time up to the moment a Wager is accepted. If odds change between the time you submit a Wager and the time we process it, you will be asked to accept the new odds before the Wager is placed. The odds recorded in the bet confirmation are the odds that apply.
8.6 Minimum and maximum stakes. The minimum stake is $1.00 per Wager. The maximum stake, maximum payout and maximum liability for any market, event, Customer or bet type are determined by the Operator and may vary without notice. Where a Wager exceeds the applicable maximum we may accept it in part, reduce the stake to the maximum or reject it.
8.7 Partial acceptance and rejection. We may, at our absolute discretion and without giving reasons, accept a Wager in whole, accept a Wager in part (in which case the stake is reduced to the accepted amount and the balance returned to your Account), or reject a Wager.
8.8 Duplicate Wagers. Where identical Wagers are received from the same Account within a short period, we may treat the duplicates as having been submitted in error and void all but the first. We may also void Wagers that, taken together, exceed the applicable maximum stake or payout for a market.
8.9 Late Wagers. A Wager placed or accepted after the start of an event (other than a market expressly offered in-play), after the result is known, or after a market has been closed, suspended or withdrawn, is void and the stake will be returned, regardless of whether it was recorded as accepted by our systems.
8.10 Manifest Errors. Wagers accepted at odds, lines or terms that are the result of a Manifest Error may be voided or resettled at the correct price in accordance with clause 9.
8.11 Abandoned, postponed and rescheduled events. Unless the specific rules for the sport provide otherwise, Wagers on an event that is abandoned, cancelled or postponed stand if the event is completed at the same venue within 48 hours of the originally scheduled start time; otherwise the Wager is void and the stake returned. Legs of a multi that are void are settled at odds of 1.00.
8.12 Settlement by official results. All Wagers are settled on the official result declared by the relevant governing body, racing authority or competition organiser at the time the market is settled. Subsequent protests, appeals, disqualifications or amendments to the official result do not affect Settlement unless the specific rules for the sport provide otherwise.
09ERRORS AND INCORRECT ODDS
9.1 We take reasonable care to ensure that odds, markets, participant details, event information and Settlement are accurate. Despite this, human and technical errors can occur. This clause sets out how errors are handled.
9.2 Manifest Errors and incorrect odds. Where a Wager has been accepted at odds that are the result of a Manifest Error - including odds that are materially different from the general market, inverted odds, an obvious typographical error or odds that remained available after a material change in circumstances - we may void the Wager and return the stake, or, where the Customer agrees, resettle the Wager at the odds that were generally available at the time the Wager was placed.
9.3 Incorrect participant or market information. Where a market is offered with an incorrect participant, team, date, venue, handicap line, total or other material detail, we may void the affected Wagers and return the stakes. Where the error is immaterial to the outcome the Wager stands.
9.4 Incorrect Settlement. Where a Wager has been settled incorrectly - whether paid as a winner in error, paid at the wrong odds or settled as a loser in error - we may resettle the Wager correctly and adjust your Account balance accordingly, including recovering any amount overpaid in accordance with clause 7.
9.5 Technical errors. Where a Wager is accepted as a result of a technical failure, system malfunction, data feed error or unauthorised interference with the Platform, we may declare the Wager void.
9.6 Funds credited in error. Funds credited to an Account in error are dealt with in accordance with clause 7.3. Wagers placed with such funds may be declared void.
9.7 Correction procedure. Where an error is identified, we will record the error and the correction applied, notify the affected Customer through the Account or by email where the correction changes the Account balance or the status of a Wager, and provide on request a written explanation of the correction. Corrections are applied as soon as reasonably practicable after the error is identified.
9.8 Disputes about errors. If you disagree with a correction you may raise a complaint under clause 17.
10SETTLEMENT RULES
10.1 All Wagers are resolved and settled in accordance with the official, final results announced by the relevant governing sporting body or racing authority.
10.2 Dead heat rules apply where multiple competitors achieve an identical placing: the stake is divided by the number of competitors in the dead heat and paid at full odds on the divided stake.
10.3 Wagers on abandoned or postponed events are handled in accordance with clause 8.11 and the specific event rules of the relevant sport.
10.4 A Wager on a runner that is scratched or withdrawn before the start of a race is void and the stake returned. Fixed odds on the remaining runners may be subject to deductions in accordance with the applicable racing rules.
10.5 Settlement is generally completed shortly after the official result is declared. Where a result is subject to an official inquiry, Settlement may be delayed until the inquiry is complete.
11RESTRICTED JURISDICTIONS

12FRAUD
12.1 We maintain real-time fraud detection and monitoring systems to safeguard our Customers and the integrity of our services.
12.2 Accounts suspected of engaging in collusion, match-fixing, arbitrage, multi-accounting, use of automated scripts, or other fraudulent practices will be suspended immediately.
12.3 In the event of confirmed fraud, Wagers may be declared void, and any remaining Account balances may be forfeited or withheld.
12.4 All suspected illegal or fraudulent activity will be documented and reported directly to relevant law enforcement and sporting integrity bodies.
13OUR RESERVED RIGHTS
13.1 We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or close any Customer Account at our absolute discretion and without prior notice.
13.2 We reserve the right to limit, refuse, or reject any Wager or part of a Wager before it is accepted in our systems.
13.3 Odds, prices, and markets are dynamic and subject to variation up to the moment a Wager is formally accepted.
13.4 We reserve the right to declare any Wager void if it was accepted in obvious error or during system malfunctions, in accordance with clause 9.
14OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
14.1 MARAN BET will use reasonable care and skill in providing its wagering services, processing valid transactions, maintaining Customer Account records and settling accepted Wagers in accordance with the applicable betting and settlement rules.
14.2 Without limiting clause 14.1, the Operator is responsible for:
- Account records - keeping an accurate record of your Account balance, Deposits, Withdrawals, Wagers and Settlements, and making that record available to you through your Account activity.
- Withdrawals - processing valid Withdrawal requests to a verified payment method within the timeframes published in our Help Centre, once verification and the checks described in clause 6 are complete.
- Settlement - settling accepted Wagers promptly and correctly on the official result in accordance with clauses 8 and 10, and correcting any Settlement error in accordance with clause 9.
- Customer funds - holding Customer funds in a segregated account separate from our operational funds in accordance with clause 25 and the conditions of our licence.
- Personal information - collecting, storing and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and our Privacy Policy, and taking reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
- Complaints and disputes - acknowledging, investigating and responding to complaints in accordance with the procedure in clause 17, and cooperating with the Regulatory Authority in the resolution of any dispute.
- Compliance - conducting our wagering services in compliance with applicable Commonwealth and Victorian laws, the conditions of our licence and the requirements of the Regulatory Authority, including responsible gambling, anti-money laundering and consumer protection obligations.
- Responsible gambling - providing the responsible gambling tools described in clause 19 and honouring any limit, time-out, self-exclusion or BetStop registration that applies to your Account.
14.3 Nothing in this clause limits the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law (see clause 24).
15CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
15.1 Account Holders must maintain complete confidentiality of their Account password, PIN, and login credentials.
15.2 You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access or breach of security.
15.3 You are solely responsible for all activity, Deposits, and Wagers executed through your MARAN BET Account.
15.4 Keep your contact information, email, and mobile details accurate and up to date at all times.
15.5 You must check each Wager before it is submitted and review the bet confirmation after acceptance.
16DORMANT AND INACTIVE ACCOUNTS
16.1 An Account is treated as inactive when no Wager, Deposit or Withdrawal has been made and the Account has not been logged into for 12 consecutive months. An inactive Account becomes dormant after a further 12 months of inactivity.
16.2 Before an Account becomes dormant we will attempt to contact you using the email address and mobile number held on your Account, reminding you of the balance held and how to access it.
16.3 Any balance held in an inactive or dormant Account remains your property. We do not charge inactivity, dormancy or account-keeping fees, and funds are not forfeited because of inactivity.
16.4 You may reactivate an inactive or dormant Account at any time by logging in and, where requested, completing identity verification again. Wagering access is restored once verification is complete and provided no self-exclusion, BetStop registration or other restriction applies.
16.5 Where we are unable to contact you, we may close a dormant Account and return any remaining balance to the last verified payment method in your name. Where that is not possible, the balance is held for you and released on request once your identity has been verified, or dealt with as required by applicable unclaimed money legislation.

20.3 Personal information and transactional data may be shared with regulatory authorities, licensing bodies, and sports integrity agencies.
21INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
21.1 All materials, software, layouts, logos, designs, copy, and structural elements of the Platform are the exclusive intellectual property of the Operator or its licensors.

24AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
24.1 Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights that cannot be lawfully excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
24.2 Where liability cannot be completely excluded but may be limited, our total liability is strictly restricted to the re-supply of our wagering services.
25FUNDS PROTECTION
25.1 In compliance with applicable regulatory conditions, Customer funds are held in a segregated bank account separate from our operational accounts.
25.2 We maintain adequate and fully audited financial reserves to ensure the complete Settlement of all successful Customer Wagers.
26PROMOTIONS AND INDUCEMENTS
26.1 MARAN BET may, from time to time and where permitted by applicable law, make promotional offers available to eligible Customers. No Customer is entitled to receive a Promotion, bonus, reward or free bet unless expressly offered by MARAN BET.
26.2 Eligibility. Promotions are available only to verified Account Holders who are 18 years or older, who are located in a state or territory where the Promotion may lawfully be offered, and who meet any further eligibility criteria set out in the Promotional Terms. Customers who have self-excluded, registered with BetStop, opted out of marketing or are subject to a time-out or Account restriction are not eligible to receive Promotions.
26.3 Promotional Terms. Each Promotion is governed by its own Promotional Terms, which are published with the offer. The Promotional Terms set out, as applicable, the qualifying activity, the benefit, the period during which the offer is available and any wagering or turnover requirements. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Promotional Terms in relation to a particular Promotion, the Promotional Terms prevail for that Promotion.
26.4 Wagering and turnover requirements. Where a Promotion is subject to a wagering or turnover requirement, that requirement, the eligible markets, the minimum odds and the time within which it must be met are stated in the Promotional Terms. Promotional funds and any winnings derived from them cannot be withdrawn until the requirement is met.
26.5 Offer period. Every Promotion has a defined offer period. Unless the Promotional Terms state otherwise, promotional benefits that have not been claimed or used by the end of the offer period expire and are removed from the Account.
26.6 One per Customer. Unless the Promotional Terms state otherwise, each Promotion is limited to one claim per person, Account, household, address, email address, device and payment method.
26.7 Jurisdictional restrictions. Certain Promotions may not be available to residents of all Australian states or territories because of regulatory restrictions on inducements. Where a Promotion cannot lawfully be offered in your jurisdiction, it will not be made available to you.
26.8 Bonus and free bet conditions. Bonus credits and free bets have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged. Unless the Promotional Terms state otherwise, the stake of a free bet is not included in any winnings, a free bet must be used in a single Wager, and a bonus cannot be used on the same market as the qualifying Wager or combined with other Promotions.
26.9 Withdrawal or change of a Promotion. MARAN BET may withdraw, suspend or vary a Promotion at any time, including where required by law or the Regulatory Authority. Changes do not affect a benefit that a Customer has already validly earned before the change, unless the change is required by law.
26.10 Misuse, fraud and multiple Accounts. Where we reasonably believe that a Promotion has been claimed or used through fraud, abuse, collusion, multiple Accounts, the use of automated tools, arbitrage or otherwise in breach of the spirit of the offer, we may cancel the promotional benefit, void Wagers placed with it, withhold any winnings derived from it and suspend or close the Account.
26.11 Account closure. Promotional benefits that have not been used, and any winnings derived from promotional funds where wagering requirements have not been met, are forfeited when an Account is closed, self-excluded or registered with BetStop. Deposited funds and winnings from settled Wagers placed with deposited funds are returned in accordance with clause 7.
26.12 Promotions are conducted in full compliance with applicable wagering rules, the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth), state and territory inducement restrictions and the National Consumer Protection Framework for online wagering.
27RACING AND SPORTING INTEGRITY

28.2 Customers are solely responsible for any personal taxation liabilities, declarations, or obligations arising from their wagering wins.
29PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
29.1 Customer data is handled with the highest standards of security, in full compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
29.2 For comprehensive details on how we store, secure, and use your information, please read our complete Privacy Policy. Privacy enquiries may be sent to privacy@marantelllbet.com.
30VARIATIONS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
30.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will publish updates on our Platform with the revised date.
30.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator excludes all liability for any indirect, special, or consequential damages.
30.3 Subject to clause 24, our total liability to any Customer is strictly limited to the actual net balance in the Customer's Account.
